Maria "Clarice" Martins, 86, passed on October 16th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Jose Martins.
Born in Praia, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Jose Monteiro and Justina Lopes Da Graca.
She is survived by her children, Emanuel and his wife Benvinda Martins. Deolinda and her husband Hugo Moreno, Julio Martins, Aderito and his wife Lucia Martins, Lawrence and Rose Martins, Edna and her husband Fernando Mendes, Celestino and his wife Maria Martins, Filomena Martins and Helena Martins. Maria has 35 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Alexandre Martins.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 22nd at 8:30am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be graveside in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Monday from 5pm until 8pm
